Salary package: $73,309 - $113,165 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full Time, Fixed Term (12 months). Extensions to this term are possible, subject to funding.

Position overview

This position is a fixed term appointment for a period of 12 months. There is a strong possibility of longer term and/or an ongoing appointment subject to budget availability, as well as your demonstrated capability and desire to complement the overall strategic direction of the project.

You will work with and alongside a world-class team of researchers, software developers and partners who have experience across technology startups, industry R&D, academic research, and government and policy regulation. We welcome a diversity of backgrounds, experiences and ideas, and encourage applications from individuals who may have had non-traditional career paths, who may have taken a career break or who have achieved excellence in careers outside of academia.

Applications are particularly invited from researchers who are looking to accelerate the transition to a carbon neutral electricity grid, with skills and expertise in the fields of data-driven science and/or state estimation and/or optimization and/or control. An interest in collaborating and working with industry on extending micro-synchrophasor research for improved grid resilience is essential.

Extensions to the term of this appointment are possible, subject to funding.
