About the Role

As the WIL Coordinator, you will share responsibility for supporting authentic work integrated learning (WIL) experiences for GUSS students across all programs, modes and locations. You will also provide timely and accurate information, advice and service to both internal and external clients of the School. In addition, your role will include coordination of day to day activities of the team with a focus on process improvement and working closely with the Team Leader. This role will see you leading and mentoring other administrative staff by exercising initiative, judgment and delegation, where appropriate, to contribute to an efficient and collegial team capable of meeting the Schools needs.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have
  • Previous experience in WIL and industry engagement within an educational setting, including sound knowledge and consistent application of relevant University policy and procedures and the ability to provide appropriate advice
  • Demonstrated ability in coordinating and leading an effective administrative team, preferably in a tertiary education setting
  • Ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations in a timely and confidential manner
  • Strong IT skills including the ability to coach and train others. Systems preferred include Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel) and databases (InPlace experience highly regarded)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and act as an escalation point to the team members
Qualifications

Bachelor degree and/or significant practical experience in an administrative or coordination role preferred.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
