The Faculty of Science is one of the largest and most diverse Faculties within The University of Queensland and within Science Faculties across Australia. The Faculty of Science incorporates six schools and four research centres. The units within the Faculty are internationally recognised and their teaching and research successes create a stimulating environment within which the Faculty staff work.

The Faculty is managed by the Executive Dean, who has direct responsibility for the physical, financial and human resources, academic matters relating to programs and students, and a range of other areas such as the development of research, national and international marketing, and enhanced government, business and community links.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking multiple Student and Academic Administration Officers across our St Lucia and Gatton campuses. These will be contract positions of various lengths - up to a maximum of 2 years.

Student and Academic Administration Officers are responsible for provide high quality customer service and administrative support to staff and students within the faculty and its programs and courses.

These positions will have responsibility for completing a diverse range of administrative processing tasks and associated day-to-day problem resolution and maintenance of administrative systems. They are required to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of helpful, friendly, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff.

Our Ideal Candidate

Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree with relevant experience, along with a sound understanding of key administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration. A high level of attention to detail, excellent written and oral communications skills, along with a demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines is required.

A knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft Office, SI-net, Business Objects and the use of CRM systems would be highly advantageous.

What We Can Offer

These are full-time, fixed term appointments for up to 2 years at HEW Level 5.

The remuneration package will be in the range $70,796 - $78,852 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
