About the Role:

As our Student Support Officer, you will provide administration support to trainers and students throughout the student life cycle. Working closely with the METS Team, you will assist with the administration of training and assessment programs and courses. In addition, you will be responsible for the recording and reporting of data relating to the administration and delivery of qualifications, skill sets and short courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enroll participants into VETtrak, ensuring all details are correct.
  • Organise and prepare all learning and assessment resources for qualifications.
  • Process and respond to student enquiries (phone, email or face to face).
  • Generate transcripts and certificates for completing students.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance to finalise student records and issue certification.
  • Update documents as required on the Learning Management System.
  • Develop and maintain channels of communication that will support positive relationships with clients, colleagues, management and the broader VET community.

About You:

You have a genuine interest and passion for customer service and supporting others. With your excellent customer service skills and administrative background, you have the ability be flexible and are able to adapt to a changing environment. Communication is your strength. Your strong oral and written communication skill enables you to engage with people at all levels. Importantly, you are a team player and have the ability to prioritise your own workload.

Additional requirements:

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Suite.
  • Working knowledge of VETtrak (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated RTO experience working as an Admin/Student Support or equivalent position (essential).
  • Certificate III in Business (desirable).
  • Availability to work Mon-Fri (flexible hours)
