The Opportunity

TAFE NSW is looking for qualified, experienced individuals for casual Assessor opportunities in Fitness. Working on an ad-hoc basis we are looking for experienced and passionate subject matter experts in Fitness to support the team by assessing the students at the Clarence Correctional Centre.

About you:

To succeed in the role, you will need to be experienced within Fitness with 3 years industry experience. You have previous experience within an education environment and an understanding on learning materials with the ability to create assessments within a VET environment. Working within an agile environment, you are quick to think on your feet and have the ability to be innovative and think outside the square when creating assessment. Within the work environment you will be focussed on the role at hand, supporting your students to obtain their qualifications for future career opportunities.

To be considered for the role you will have:-

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Fitness
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 Assessor Skill Set
  • Minimum 3 years, relevant industry experience post apprenticeship
  • Previous experience in an education environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct assessments, validations and moderations in the VET environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of VET regulatory compliance requirements
  • Understanding of learning materials
  • Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
