Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus. Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6. The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

We are looking to recruit a Business Manager / Depute Campus Leader to provide a strategic and operational lead for business and administrative activities within the Campus and school.

The Business Manager/Depute Campus Leader will contribute to improving our campus and school and support our vision, values and aims.

Requirements

You must be CCAB qualified or have a Diploma in Personnel Management or a Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification, such as a Degree or equivalent in a Personnel, Administrative, ICT, Finance or Property Management related subject.

The Individual

The Business Manager / Depute Campus Leader will provide a strategic and operational lead for business and administrative activities within the Campus and school.

You will be line managed by the Headteacher / Campus Leader to work as part of a team ensuring the delivery of effective administration across financial, human relations, health and safety, marketing, student and customer data and staffing systems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work within a large team. You should have experience of leading and managing a team and provides an excellent level of support to others.

As the successful candidate, you will be self motivated, with a track record of forming and developing excellent relationships and collaborative working practices.

You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of positively engaging colleagues, the public and external partners.

Ideally, You Will Have

  • Experience of working in a school or other educational environment at a supervisory/management level.
  • Have a strong track record of leading and managing others.
  • The ability to collate, organise, analyse and interpret statistical information.
  • A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of packages, with a working knowledge of information management systems.
  • Experience of monitoring and planning budgets.
  • Understanding of the differing demands of the curriculum across nursery, primary and secondary.
  • Experience of managing ICT provision.
