Applications are invited for the position of Inclusive Education Teacher - Science at Keebra Park State High School. This is an exciting new role for a dynamic educator with a passion for working with students with disabilities. As the Inclusive Education Teacher you will: Be an active member of the Inclusive Education Team supporting the delivery of improv ed outcomes for students with disabilities. You will work proactively to improve the academic, social and emotional outcomes for students working collaboratively across the school with parents, teachers, support staff, and community organisations. A teacher with experience and/or willingness to teach mainstream junior secondary science is preferred.

Your role:

  • Understand the needs of students with disabilities and support teachers to deliver inclusive classroom practices.
  • Work with an established team under the leadership of the Pedagogical Coach SWD
  • Have an interest in developing early transition to work programs for students
  • Complete verification, profiles, student support plans, personalised learning plans
  • Collaborate with staff to adjust assessments and classwork for students on an ICP
  • Advocate for students with disabilities and their families to maximise student success
