About the Role
We are seeking an experienced permanent part time Food Coordinator (25 hours per week) for our YMCA East Cannington Early Learning Centre. The successful applicant will have food handling or nutrition and menu planning certificates or be willing to work towards obtaining these.
Key responsibilities include:
- To plan, in consultation with the Director, a menu for children 0 – 5 years of age which is nutritional, well balanced and suited to the dietary needs of children and in keeping within the allocated budget
- To purchase a list of provisions required each week/month
- To prepare and cook all meals and snacks daily as required to service in consultation with the Director
- Compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements and all other relevant OH&S practices
Skills and Experience
- Cert III in Early Childhood Education (or working towards).
- Police National Clearance Certificate, Working with Children check
- Good communication skills both written and interpersonal
- Enthusiasm, commitment and desire to work in Early Childhood Education and care
