Appointment Pool

Are you a dedicated ECE or primary school teacher with a strong commitment to collaborating with colleagues to facilitate differentiated educational outcomes for our students.

Hilton Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - K-6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2022

We are seeking highly effective teaching professionals with contemporary knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy, as well as a commitment to positive workplace culture. We welcome applications from early childhood, primary generalist and physical education teachers with a strong commitment to professional development, whole-school processes and the capacity to implement an evidence-informed approach towards teaching and learning. As a member of our ECE or primary teams you will be committed to high quality explicit teaching, play-based learning, sustainability and nature pedagogy. In 2021 our focus areas will include STEAM, PBS, the explicit teaching of literacy and further development of quality differentiated teaching practice.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
  • be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING

Employees will be required to:

  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
