Appointment Pool

We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

Suitable applicants will be highly motivated, innovative and can work effectively within collaborative teams, with an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and demonstrated best practice in literacy and numeracy. We are seeking teachers who can work in a collaborative environment to improve student outcomes, reflect on their own performance, contribute to staff development and support our distributed leadership structure. The 2021-2023 Business Plan is in development so applicants are requested to refer to the 2018-2020 Business Plan available on the website.

Greenwood PS is located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Each member of our widely experienced staff is committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for our students. We are supported by a school psychologist and chaplain who promote health and wellbeing within a positive school culture. A strong values program exists within the school to support our vision of enabling students to become valued and responsible members of society.

Specialist programs are offered in the areas of physical education, digital technologies, music, language (Bahasa Indonesian), art for the junior primary years and science for the senior years. Greenwood Primary School was a Teacher Development School (TDS) in 2018 To lead network of Languages teachers established and based at Greenwood PS Build capacity of mainstream. Successful applicants will need to show capacity to be data literate and self reflective.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
  • be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING

Employees will be required to:

  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
