An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the Department of Psychiatry within the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health. The position is in the field of behavioural neuroscience. The focus of the position will be to manage the breeding and behavioural and electrophysiological characterization of two new strains of mice.
To be appointable into this position you must hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a closely related field and possess Electrophysiology experience in mice - specifically LFP recordings, experience with behavioural testing of mice in a range of paradigms, experience with touchscreen testing units is particularly advantageous and experience with stereotaxic surgeries in mice and experience in breeding and maintaining mouse colonies.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
