- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; and
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
In this role, you will provide support and encouragement to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families and schools, to enable full engagement in educational opportunities provided to them through their enrolment in Catholic schooling.
You will have particular responsibility of contributing to building authentic partnerships between schools, families and local communities highlighted in the Brisbane Catholic Education Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Education Strategy “Molum Sabe”.
It is expected that this position will contribute to Brisbane Catholic Education’s commitment to reconciliation through education. Please refer to attached Role Statement for further information.

To be successful in this role you will:

Position Tenure: Fixed Term
Weeks Worked: School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)
Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term): 2021 School year
Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 10 hours per week - days to be negotiated
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 4/Step 1 - $31.44 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
