This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2021
Ballajura Community College is seeking a dedicated English teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will provide high quality learning experiences for all students and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals. Ability to teach Year 7 – 12 students and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English courses is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This will involve reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You will utilise evidence based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil rigour, resilience and pride, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate an ability to cater for a diverse range of student learning needs and promote the continuation of raised standards in English in line with the Australian Curriculum. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
