Alpha Omega Education is a learning resource centre located in Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We provide education services to students in the early years, school and adults, creating innovative and creative programs to educate, nurture, inspire and empower our students in their journey of learning and achievement.

Role:

We are seeking a Lead Bi-lingual (Chinese-English) Education Coordinator with a passion for developing fun, engaging and innovative programs for a variety of age groups ranging from the Early Years to Adult. The successful candidate will be in charge of developing our Mandarin Immersion Program for the Early Years, and will also be required to develop mandarin focused curricula for school-aged children and adults.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (overseas qualifications accepted)
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience (within last 7 years) in the following:
• teaching pre-school/kindergarten aged children with Mandarin as the language of instruction.
• planning and implementation of Mandarin and English education pre-school/kindergarten aged children.
• development of resources for Mandarin Education.
• supervision of other educators in a pre-school/kindergarten setting.
• training of other educators in a pre-school/kindergarten setting.
• liaising with families to update them on student progress
• Fluent in English, Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Hold a current recognized Working With Children’s Check (WWCC).

• Strong focus on programs and practice.
• Enthusiasm for bi-lingual education.
• A passion to bring bi-lingual learning opportunities to a variety of educational settings.
• Ability to ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion is maintained.
• Current Driver’s License
• Can-do attitude and resourcefulness
• Organizational skills
