Source: uWorkin

The program

Red Cross supports vulnerable migrants in finding employment through our In Work Australia program. Supporting clients from a culturally and linguistically diverse background who are facing barriers towards employment due to low levels of English.

The opportunity

This person will be involved in developing, implementing and facilitating the In Work Australia - Work for English program. This role will suit someone who has previously been involved in teaching English as a second language and is passionate about assisting participants to develop their English language skills. Lived experience of migrating to Australia is highly regarded but not essential.

This role will require working as part of a team as well as one-on-one with clients who have been made vulnerable as a result of migration to help them learn English skills in order to gain employment.

The impact

As a volunteer in the In Work Australia program you will be making a big impact on the lives of those who have been made vulnerable as a result of migration. You will be supporting their transformation from destitution to a life of independence and fulfilment. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World's largest humanitarian network.

Please note: you will be required to upload a recent copy of your CV to submit this application
