Loreto Normanhurst is a leading Catholic, independent day and boarding school for girls in Years 5-12.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join us as Boarding Assistant to work in a large boarding school for girls, sharing in the care for teenage girls. This role is integral to the growth and development of the boarders who live at Loreto and it is vital that the applicant can work in a team environment and contribute to both the staff and boarder’s development.
Permanent part time Boarding Assistant to work in the Boarding School, Saturday 12:00pm to Sunday 3:00pm alternate weekends. Sleepovers required.
Key responsibilities:
- Pastoral care and active supervision of boarding girls
- Supervision of boarders within and outside the boarding school on activities as required
- Assistance in dormitories
- Communication with students, parents and other boarding staff
A current CPR, First Aid and Duty of Care Certificate (or be willing to obtain these credentials)
Applicants should have experience working with groups of young people, demonstrate personal maturity, be team focused and enjoy the challenge of caring for adolescents. Teaching, nursing or youth camp experience is ideal. A Working with Children Check clearance and Driver’s Licence are essential for these roles.
