Saint Ignatius' College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic school for boys in the Jesuit tradition. Located in Lane Cove, Sydney, Cammeraygal Country, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The College is inviting applications for the position of Faith in Service Coordinator to commence Term 2, 2021 in a 12-month temporary part-time position (0.6FTE). This is a non-face to face teaching load open to teachers accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW.

The Faith in Service Coordinator is a member of the Ignatian Centre Team, which is inspired at all times by the highest Ignatian ideals of Companionship and Team, working closely with the Director of Religious Formation to maintain the sense of Christian mission. The Faith in Service Coordinator has responsibility for developing and implementing the compulsory service program for students in Years 7-11.

The successful candidate/s will:

• have a foundational knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching
• have a working knowledge of foundational Ignatian Spirituality and Education documents
• have the ability to develop, implement and manage service programs at a school
• demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
• demonstrate high level administrative and organisational skills
• a proactive approach and be able to work as part of a team
• have an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate initiative
• be able to prioritise work
• demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
• hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people
