Position Information

Colo High School (enrolment 915 students, including 39 students who identify as Aboriginal) is a comprehensive co-educational school situated in the semi-rural Hawkesbury district. The school has a strong record of achievements in academic, cultural and sporting pursuits. Students have access to a broad curriculum including Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.

The school is well supported by an engaged and proactive parent community including an active Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C). The staff are committed and caring with a balance of early career and highly experienced teachers. Colo High School is highly valued and recognised in the community as a leader in public education and works in partnership with primary schools in the Colo Learning Community.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach Mathematics Years 7-10 and Years 11-12.

Willingness to teach extension 1 and 2 Mathematics courses.

Evidence of ability to develop and deliver engaging and challenging teaching programs to meet the learning needs of a diverse range of students.

Willingness to contribute to both faculty and whole school programs.

Capacity to integrate innovative and creative ideas, including the use of technology, into effective teaching and learning of Mathematics.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
