About the Role
KBR currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Trade Instructor to provide high quality trade related education and training services to the Engineering & Marine technical training to RAN & RAAF trainees. This position is based within the Technical Training Faculty at HMAS Cerberus, Crib Point, Victoria.
Skills and Experience
To secure this position, ideally you will possess:
- A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116
- A trade qualification in either Fabrication, Boilermaking or Welding, with at least five years’ experience as a qualified tradesperson. Marine Engineering experience would be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
- A sound understanding of the principles of Adult learning
- Demonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students.
This role also requires you to have experience in Microsoft Office, be highly organised, have exceptional communication skills and enjoy managing multi tasks.
Applicants that do not hold a current Certificate IV in training – TAE40016 are still encouraged to apply. You would be required to complete this qualification, through the Company’s pathways, within the first 12 months of employment.
As a civilian instructor operating within a military environment, respect for Australian Defence Force (ADF) ethos and practice is a requirement.
Appointment to this position is contingent upon obtaining a Defence Security Clearance which includes being an Australian citizen.
