The Team

The Resources Team is part of the larger Finance, Planning and School Resources Directorate. Staff in the Resources Team are responsible for recurrent funding, capital works and school accounting. 

The Role

A team of School Support Accountants work directly with schools to assist school finance staff and Principals within CEWA to manage the school’s financial responsibilities, compliance requirements and financial reporting.

This is a full-time (part-time by negotiation) maximum term position commencing as soon as practicable and concluding 31 October 2022.

Your Background

Based out of our Leederville Office but travelling regularly to schools throughout the broader Perth metropolitan area, the successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively engage with people about financial concepts. Extensive experience with financial or bookkeeping functions, accrual accounting processes, as well as experience in audit preparation and financial reporting is required. The patience and ability to simplify and explain financial concepts is also essential in the role and vital for the service to be provided to our schools.
