The Role

Education Liaison Officers (EDLOs) are responsible for providing educational support and advice to ADF families with dependent pre-school, primary and secondary school aged children.

As an EDLO, you will learn and understand the challenges facing ADF Families and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to provide the following:
  • Education assistance to Defence Families to empower and assist them to successfully integrate into the school community;
  • Building school capacity through education programs and resources to ensure a supportive education environment for students from Defence Families;
  • Providing a link between Defence and State/Territory and National education agencies.
This position covers the ACT and Wagga Wagga and requires regular travel to Wagga Wagga.

About our Team

The Defence Community Organisation (DCO) offers a broad range of programs and service to support Commanders, Australian Defence Force members and their families manage military life. You will be working with DCO Canberra and DCO Wagga Wagga in a multi discipline team that includes social workers, Military Support Officers and Family Liaison Officers. DCO supports families self-reliance and increases the capacity if the wider community to support the needs of Defence.
