Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the management and delivery of multiple, concurrent research projects, forging and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, drawing critical insights from research, and delivering high quality, short-sharp reports with a focus on the visual impact of research findings.

They must have a strong track record working under tight timeframes and with a small research budget. They must have excellent communications skills and strong experience in increasing engagement with organisational research outputs from internal and external audiences, as well a team leadership and people management experience.

This unique role is suited to a highly flexible, resilient, client-focused research manager with a focus on quality and innovation.

eSafety is looking for an innovative and experienced research manager to lead a high performing and very busy small team in developing world leading, high quality research relating to online safety. You will lead a team of four researchers undertaking qualitative and quantitative research in addition to resource and program evaluations.

You will drive the strategy and development of eSafety’s research program and must be experienced in dealing with sensitive research topics relating to harm and harm prevention. You must also have a solid understanding of the tech industry and the online harms that need to be navigated to facilitate a safer online experience.

The role will be offered at the EL 2 level, commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.

Suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and the pool may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles. Non-ongoing vacancies filled from a merit pool may be offered as a specified term. Applicants may have their application and assessment results shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies looking to fill similar roles.
