The Property & Facilities Division (P&F) is responsible for delivering comprehensive facilities operations to the University community by using integrated systems and services to support the University's teaching and learning, research endeavours and strategic objectives. To achieve this, and to further improve the environment in which members of the University community study, work and live, P&F provide a range of services of Campus Operations, Infrastructure and Sustainability, Planning and Property and Project Delivery.

About This Opportunity

Our Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness Manager is set to drive the implementation of the UQ Health, Safety and Wellness Strategy 2017-2021 throughout the Property & Facilities (P&F) Division. Coupled with advising senior leadership within the division on relevant HSW matters, our successful candidate will liaise closely with the central HSW division to ensure there is consistency in implementation of the strategy and other University-wide HSW priorities.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

You'll be highly experienced in managing OHS in similar, multi location, and complex sites, coupled with a relevant qualification (or equivalent). It's critical that you have in-depth understanding of relevant principles and legislation, and experience engaging with various regulators. You'll be outcomes focused, adept in project management and strategic implementation of initiatives and plans, and will be able to demonstrate exemplary communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 9.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $117,548 - $124,391, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $137,531 - $145,537.
