If you don’t have a current teaching qualification, but you do have a passion and commitment for your industry, you may be eligible for Certificate IV Training and Assessment scholarship and once you have completed the studies, you will hold the qualification needed to become a Trainer and Assessor with TAFE NSW.

Successful applicants will possess;

· Degree in an area of Human Services, Community Services or Social Sciences, completion of which required supervised workplace learning.

· A minimum of 5 years work in these roles, part of which has been gained over the last 2 years, comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and practice within the Community Services sector.

· Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge currency and trainer/assessor competence.

· High level written and oral communication skills in English, strengths in problem solving and proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational and community environments.

· Proven computer literacy, including sound experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to use other specialised computer software systems.

· Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting.

· Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a team environment to meet adult learning needs
