Job Description:
The Training Support Officer, Aboriginal Access Centre is responsible for providing a first point of contact for potential students and community groups. The incumbent provides vocational and educational counselling, case management and support to current/prospective students and supports Aboriginal students to transition from the Aboriginal Access Centre to mainstream TAFE SA courses. The Training Support Officer assists students to manage personal, social, health and educational concerns to effect successful completion of studies. Position is responsible for supporting Aboriginal students at Noarlunga, Urrbrae, Murray Bridge and Victor Harbor campuses.

This is a short term temporary contract up to the 30 June 2021, located at Noarlunga.

Special Conditions

  • Some out of hours work may be required
  • Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required
  • A current drivers licence is essential
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Appointment to this position will be subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Health & Safety and Record-Keeping within legislative requirements according to the principles of the Public Sector Act 2009
  • Actively participate in TAFE SA Performance Management and Development Program
