About the Centre/Service Menzies Creek Preschool is currently located at the Menzies Creek Hall in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, and is part of the Primary School. We currently run 3yo (Monday and Thursday) and 4yo (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) programs separately with two dedicated staff members assigned to each. We also have a dedicated Preschool subcommittee as part of our School Council. A unique feature of our Preschool is that the hall used is a dual-purpose facility and requires set up and pack up as required. Our philosophy takes a child-centred approach. Our aim is to inspire and instil the foundations for a life-long love of learning, through exploration, imagination, creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm. We encourage and develop the whole child as confident, self-directed and compassionate learners, who strive to reach their own potential. Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. It is based on an emergent curriculum approach and also includes intentional teaching experiences.
