Wester Health is currently seeking applications for a temporary Clinical Midwife Educator role, with the Centre of Education and Learning.

In collaboration with the Maternity Services leadership team and Centre for Education and Learning team, the Clinical Midwife Educator will ensure that services provided are focussed on respecting the rights, needs and expectations of patients and their family.

The position is Long Service Leave cover ending November 2021, working within a team of Clinical Midwife Educators as a valued member of the Centre for Education and Learning team. 

The successful applicant will be the primary educator for the Postnatal and Gynaecology Unit, but may need to, on occasion cover other units in Maternity services, therefore require some experience across the pregnancy continuum.

We are seeking a Midwifery Educator who has the ability to utilise contemporary strategies, based on adult learning principles to effectively coordinate and facilitate educational activities within maternity service for all nursing/midwifery staff, transition to practice nurse/midwives and undergraduate nurse/midwifery students in the clinical setting.
