Temporary full-time appointment for a period up to 30 June 2023

Location: Sydney

The Digital Business Partner is the critical link between the department’s digital service providers and our internal and external corporate partners. The role will focus on increasing the realised value from strategic IT initiatives, investments and capabilities.

About the role

The Digital Business Partner manages the business relationship between the organisational ICT function and its corporate clients and stakeholders to increase the value realised from strategic IT initiatives, investments and capabilities. The role works with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships and ensure strategic alignment.

About the Information Technology Directorate

The Information Technology Directorate provides ICT and digital solutions across the Department of Education. This includes support for Schools, Teaching & Learning and Corporate offices. The Department has initiated a targeted program of work to address the Rural Access Gap (Digital Restart NSW) as part of the Schools Digital Strategy.

PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS

Provide a recent example of when you’ve engaged with a challenging group of stakeholders to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome. (300 or 400 words maximum).

Describe a time when you’ve identified an opportunity for digital (or similar) innovation and made a recommendation for how this could be implemented.. (300 or 400 words maximum).

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated experience with applying technological innovation to client needs
  • Understanding of current research in future focused digital learning for education.
  • Strong background in consulting with a diverse range of client groups and stakeholders to develop tailored solutions in partnership with multiple service providers.
     

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or substantial relevant procurement experience, preferably within an ICT or schools environment.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
  • Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check)
