We recognise that real experience is the most important aspect when appointing our teaching staff, we know that this experience, your creditability and your story will have a positive impact, to generate the passion needed by our students to see their qualification through.
Therefore, we want you to discover the teacher within you. If you don’t have a current teaching qualification, but you do have a passion and commitment for your industry, you may be eligible for Certificate IV Training and Assessment scholarship and once you have completed the studies, you will hold the qualification needed to become a Trainer and Assessor with TAFE NSW.
Successful applicants will possess;
• Recognised practice degree in Counselling, Social Work or Psychology
• Minimum of 2-years experience working in a Counselling role. This work experience must have been gained in the last 5 years
• Comprehensive current knowledge of the industry and job roles and strong understanding of current trends and practice within the Counselling sector
• High level written and oral communication skills in English, strengths in problem solving and proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational and community environments.
• Proven computer literacy, including sound experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to use other specialised computer software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a team environment to meet adult learning needs
• Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting.
