About the role

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Pre-school room leader & Educational Leader.
• Ensure the Zig and Zag curriculum and school readiness program is planned and delivered at the highest standard aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Create age-appropriate learning experiences and environments that are engaging, inspiring, inclusive and interesting.
• Maintain ongoing documentation of the program, daily information and children’s learning and development.
• Collaborate with all staff and provide support, assistance and constructive feedback.
• Develop meaningful partnerships with families to support each individual child’s achievements and growth.
• Form positive and meaningful relationships with children.
• Reflect on different aspects of the ongoing education and care including self-reflections.
• Oversee all programs, learning environments, staff documentation, staff interactions including relationships and partnerships with children and families to ensure they align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
• Manage and contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Engage in professional development.
• Work closely alongside the Director.
• Reach out and get involved with the community.

What you will need

• Bachelors/Masters in Early Childhood Teaching or ACECQA equivalent
• NESA Accreditation
• Working With Children Check
• First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Child Protection certificate
• Strong passion for early childhood education and supporting the needs of children as individuals
• High standard of written and verbal communication skills
• Planning and programming experience
• Leadership skills
• Collaboration skills
• ICT skills
