Communities@Work is Canberra's largest Early Education and Care provider, operating numerous Child Care and Education Centres across Canberra, providing long day care services.

About the Role

Communities@Work has an exciting opportunity for an experienced child care leader to join our organisation as a Centre Manager.
In this role, you'll provide leadership and management within the Child Care and Education Centre, ensuring operations align with the Vision, Mission and Values of Communities@Work and leading the team to maintain the Centre as a Centre of Excellence.

Duties

Your primary responsibility will be to Oversee, monitor & drive the overall operations of the service/s in accordance with the National Quality Framework, associated legislation, Communities@Work's policies, procedures & systems to a ensure quality & consistent service. In doing so you'll be required to: -

Manage staff rosters according to legislated ratios, qualifications, and budgeted hours.
Deliver the Centres key performance indicators
Work with the Children's Services Leadership team and other key stakeholders to deliver best practice in education and care
Contribute to the formation and implementation of strategic planning for the Child Care and Early Education program
Fulfil customer service expectations in accordance with the organisation's charter and values, ensuing a high level of client satisfaction.
Contribute to the continuous improvement process of the Children's Services education and care business model
Engage in business development and marketing activities for the program and the organisation
Monitor and manage waitlists and enrolments in coordination with the finance program and other relevant programs to ensure optimal and viable utilisation of licenced places
Ensure expenditure remains within approved budget levels
Drive brand awareness and connect with local communities.

Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone who has formal qualifications in business management or leadership, at least 3 years management experience in the Children's Services sector and proven experience in the analysis, planning, implementation and review of projects and change management processes

You'll be required to have a driver's licence and to maintain a Working With Vulnerable People registration.
You'll have boundless enthusiasm, excellent people skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
We need someone who is good at developing positive client relationships, is a great team player but also has the confidence to work autonomously and who can demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge of the seven quality areas of the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Law ACT 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
