The Centre
KU Burwood Preschool, located in the Inner West is a preschool for children aged 3 - 5 years of age, Monday to Friday between 8am - 3:30pm during NSW school term time.
KU Burwood has a focus on children’s social and emotional readiness for school and incorporates this into their program through fostering positive relationships with adults and peers, encouraging children to make choices, accept challenges, take considered risks, manage change and cope, and challenging and supporting children to engage and preserve at tasks
The Role
KU Burwood is looking for an educator with a completed Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care and a drive and passion in their work with children.
On offer is a permanent part time crib break position working 20 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day during NSW school term times.
What are we looking for?
We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.
In addition, you will have:
- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Current Child Protection training
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations(2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills
