The Instructional Leadership team is part of the Partnerships, Schools and Preschools division and has as a key focus on implementation of School Improvement Strategy through instructional leadership and mentoring to Education Directors that fosters high quality state-wide leadership to support, drive, influence and inspire continuous improvement in schools and preschools to improve outcomes of children and young people and reflect the departments strategic priorities.

The Administrative Officer reports to the Director, Instructional Leadership and is responsible for providing a range of complex and specialised administrative duties to support the work of the Instructional Leadership Director. This role provides an efficient, responsive and professional point of contact for internal and external clients and delivers a range of business, financial project and management support services including coordinating and undertaking the delivery of quality records management, procurement, travel, events, HR and document management functions that contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives of the division. The role delivers efficient and responsive support for the day-to-day activities of the Director, Instructional Leadership and other staff in the group.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years. For all other Special Conditions please refer to the Role Description.
