Established in 1866, Wesley College is an internationally recognised Uniting Church coeducational school with 3,400+ students on three metropolitan sites.

The Wesley College at Clunes residential program provides our Year 9 students with the opportunity to learn about themselves, the wider community and our Australian culture in the unique setting of the small Victorian town of Clunes, 35 kilometres northwest of Ballarat. The focus for the 8-week program is upon education of the whole person. Emphasis is given to experiential learning, independent inquiry and community living.

Applications are invited from outstanding applicants for the leadership position of Head of Student Welfare - Transition at Wesley Clunes.

This is an onsite residential positioncommencing Term 2, 2021.

In making this appointment, the College is seeking applicants who, among other qualities can demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Coordinate the welfare handover and transition of all students going to and returning from Clunes to appropriate staff at the City Campuses
  • Review student welfare requirements and amend programs where appropriate to ensure student participation is fulfilling and maximised
  • Oversee all student health issues in conjunction with House Leaders, Nursing and Counselling staff
  • Work with Clunes administration and IT staff to ensure all documentation with regard to both current and future students is updated
  • Attend the Parent Information and House Allocation meetings at Wesley College Melbourne
  • A capacity to enjoy the rich diversity of daily life at the school and to contribute to the overall success of the program
  • An understanding and commitment to a residential learning environment and a willingness to participate in student activities outside normal hours
