Full-Time, Fixed Term Teaching position commencing Term 2, 2021 and concluding Term 4, 2021.

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher of English and Humanities to teach at Wadhurst (Years 7 and 8) for a Full-Time Fixed term position commencing Term 2, 2021.

Context of the role

Our Wadhurst campus is a space where boys make the transition from primary to secondary education, and from childhood to adolescence, in an environment designed with their specific needs in mind. We work with teachers who have a passion for early secondary boys’ education, along with the skills necessary to encourage academic and social growth over this crucial two-year period of their lives.

The key responsibilities for these roles include preparing for and conducting timetabled English and Humanities classes, as well as liaising with Heads of House, House Tutors and other staff regarding the individual welfare of students. The successful applicants will become actively involved in all aspects of life in the School beyond the classroom, including sport, outdoor education and/or cultural activities. The ability to teach a multi-disciplinary subject will be an advantage.
