Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Clinical Research Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of administrative, record management and clinical research support tasks, for and on behalf of, the Cardiology Research leadership team.

A key focus of the position is to support Clinical Research Project Managers through the full spectrum of the clinical research lifecycle as well as support the Cardiology Research Leadership Team across administrative and operational tasks.

Key Position Capabilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training relevant to clinical research support.
  • Well-developed written communication skills with significant experience in the preparation of correspondence, agendas, minutes, research applications and other documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to enquiries confidentially and autonomously.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of staff at all levels.
  • Results-orientated with high-level organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to research and collate information from a wide range of sources, and an ability to relate tasks to the wider context.
  • Ability to use appropriate judgement, initiative, and confidentiality to support the activities of the Cardiology Research Leadership team.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work with general supervision to determine and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and an ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a large and complex organisation.
