An exciting opportunity exists for a Mental Health Coordinator to join the Ovens Murray Area.

The Mental Health Practitioners (MHP) initiative was announced by the Minister for Education in late 2018 to expand mental health and wellbeing support in government schools. The initiative provides $51.2 million over four years and $31 million ongoing. The initiative will provide a suitably qualified mental health professional in all government secondary school campuses.

The Mental Health Coordinator - Ovens Murray Area will coordinate local administrative and practice support to the mental health practitioners and secondary government schools in the Area. The successful applicant will ensure effective implementation of the Mental Health Practitioners initiative across all Ovens Murray Area campuses to facilitate its contribution to improving students' mental/emotional and social health, and increased engagement of students in school.
