Inspired learning. Empowering young women of integrity. We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced Learning Enrichment Teachers to join our Learning Enrichment team.

There are three positions available commencing in 2021:

  • one permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2021;

  • one temporary full-time position to cover maternity leave for 12 months commencing Term 1, 2021;

  • one temporary full time position commencing in MidTerm 2, 2021 for 12 months to cover extended leave;

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting with the identification of students for Learning Enrichment.

  • Assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with high learning needs (both support and extension).

  • Differentiating teaching programs and working collaboratively with teachers across curriculum areas.

  • Identifying resources and implementing effective strategies to create learning and social opportunities for students with learning needs.

  • Providing specialist teaching to students on a one-to-one or small group basis as appropriate.

  • Making appropriate adjustments to assessment tasks in consultation with class/subject teachers for students with learning needs.

  • Assessing student skills and literacy and numeracy levels using a range of assessment tools depending on the needs of the student.

  • Assisting classroom teachers with the early identification of students with learning disabilities or those considered to be ‘at risk’ of developing learning disabilities.

  • Implementing the Learning Enrichment procedures in the identification of students with learning needs.

  • Collaboratively planning with teachers, parents and students for transition of students with high support needs.

  • Assisting in the preparation of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).

  • Contributing to staff development and parent education programs.

  • Liaising with parents of students on a Learning Enrichment program.

  • Maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Possesses post graduate qualifications in either Special Education and/or Learning Disabilities;

  • Has the ability to differentiate teaching programs and work collaboratively with teachers across curriculum areas;

  • Holds a minimum 5 years’ experience in learning enrichment education;

  • Possesses a high level of skill in using ICT to record and respond to students’ learning and development;

  • Works collaboratively with faculties, subject teachers and parents to adjust existing programs;

  • Works to ensure accessibility for students with learning needs;
