Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the Pro Vice-Chancellor Student Experience and Academic Registrar will play a vital university-wide leadership role, driving a transformative agenda to ensure excellence and ongoing quality improvement across the breadth of the student experience, with a particular focus on the productive participation by all students in the life of the University community. The Pro Vice-Chancellor will work closely with the leadership teams of the academic colleges to ensure coordination and strategic alignment of work across the University in the area of student experience.

The appointed candidate will demonstrate:

  • exceptional leadership skills and a strong track record of university leadership;
  • the ability to effectively conceptualise and execute university level strategies;
  • intimate familiarity with the latest innovations and current trends in higher education aimed at enhancing student engagement and wellbeing; and
  • experience guiding large teams of both professional staff and academic faculty to develop cohesive approaches to enhance all aspects of student life.
