JOB DESCRIPTION

RECEO Solutions provide emergency response, medical and safety training to the resource industry within Australia. The company is a Registered Training Organisation (No. 51786) regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and provides Nationally Recognised Training, including qualifications within the Australian Qualifications Framework.


Training Resource Developer & Instructional Designer

– Contract Position

Our current development projects are projected to last a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of further contract work into the future.

You will be working with an experienced training team to review, update and create learning resources and assessment tools for our scope of courses.

You will work with our existing resources to review mapping and ensure compliance. You will also be updating resources and creating new resources where required.

You will be highly experienced in the design of nationally accredited training and assessment resources with relevant experience working in VET and developing training materials that comply with training package requirements and the Standards for RTOs (2015) is essential. 

Knowledge of the resource industry is not required, although some exposure to the terminology etc may be beneficial.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, and updating learning and assessment materials.
  • Learner Guides
  • Assessment Tools
  • RPL Assessment Tools
  • Session Plans and PowerPoints
  • LLN Assessment Kits
  • Developing course content and learning curriculum/syllabus.
  • Undertaking independent research and consultation with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop learning content and assessment materials.
  • Reviewing and validating existing materials for quality and compliance.
  • Working closely with the Training Team towards set goals and objectives within project plans and timeframes.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities include proofreading, editing, and formatting documents for publishing from time to time.

Skills and experience
  • You will have suitable qualifications in training and/or education.
  • You will be highly experienced in the implementation of the ASQA Standards for RTOs and the RTO regulatory system.
  • You will be a forensic thinker, with a questioning approach to ensure resources accurately reflect unit of competency interpretation and industry advice.
  • You will be efficient in your time management to ensure outcomes are achieved within required time frames.
  • You will come with excellent references from other RTOs, that demonstrate your work has met external compliance requirements, whilst also promoting good teaching and learning practice.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, being able to extract knowledge and subject matter from our technical trainers, and industry, and translate information into learner friendly resources.
  • Your literacy skills will be exemplar, ensuring grammar, spelling and comprehension of materials are correct.
  • You will have excellent IT skills to facilitate the creation and amendment of electronic resources e.g. word, power point and excel.
  • Additionally, eLearning experience would be desirable.
