Job Description

Reach Community College requires qualified trainers and assessors for the delivery of the following automotive qualifications:

• AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• AUR31116 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
• AUR50116 Diploma of Automotive Management

Successful applicants must possess the following:

• Current training and assessment credentials in compliance with RTO Standard 2015, clause 1.14.

- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and one of the following units of competency:

- TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A (or their successor), and one of the following units of competency, TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A orTAEASS502B (or their successor);

OR

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,

OR

- Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education

• Appropriate qualifications, registration/membership/licensing and experience relevant to industry and position.
• Relevant academic qualifications in Automotive to demonstrate vocational competency.
• High level of professionalism when working with other stakeholders e.g. students, trainers and non-academic staff.
• Well-developed computer skills, particularly Office 365 and online delivery methodologies.
• Ability to resolve and manage student complaints and students matters
• Competent knowledge of ASQA compliance and other applicable standards and legislation

Desirable knowledge and skills:

• Hold a valid AQF certification documentation in AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, AUR31116 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis and AUR50116 Diploma of Automotive Management OR willingness to obtain these academic qualifications if successful.
• Holds valid licenses and registrations from automotive industry e.g. motor mechanic, heavy vehicle driver license etc.

• Experience providing training and assessment in the vocational education and training sector.
• Commitment to undertake continuous professional development relevant to industry and job role.
