About the role

Immediate start
16 hours per week
Term-time position (40 weeks per annum)

The position involves the provision of administrative support to the Head of Faculty, Director of Music and Performance and other teachers within the Faculty of Expressive Arts.

As part of a vibrant team your key duties will be to coordinate the activities of instrumental teachers, administer the music tuition program, instrument loan/hire system, assist in organising visiting schools and performances and manage the Music Library.

Skills & Experience

To be consider for this role you should have:
Computing skills in MS Office. (word, publisher, excel).
Experience in using database systems, with Synergetic an advantage.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality within and outside the School.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to display initiative and work without supervision.
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
Ability to read music and experience in managing a music library an advantage.
Ability to mix well with other staff and associates and create an atmosphere where teamwork and good morale exists.
Ability to resolve difficult situations in an effective manner.
Ability to adapt when changes occur.
A willingness to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School.

Employment Conditions

School Administration Services (SAS) Level 3 - $26.35 per hour.

This is a term-time only role with the position holder working 40 weeks per annum, inclusive of orientation week.

Remuneration is in accordance with the St Michael's Collegiate School (General Staff and Early Learning and Education and Care Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2018.

It is conditional of employment that the successful applicant:

Be authorised to work in Australia;
Gain a satisfactory nation police clearance; and
Undertake mandatory child safety training
