The Australian Trade Training College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Automotive Trainer to deliver high quality training & assessment services to students at the Mackay Engineering College. This role is based in Mackay, fly in fly out is available.

This position aligns to Senior Student timetabling and school holidays. Applicants are only required to train during timetabled school terms.

About the role:

As a trainer you will be required to train and assess students in the Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation VET in Schools program. This is a great chance to join a highly supportive team and work for a well-established organisation, whilst creating unbreakable bonds with your students!

In the role you will also:

• Deliver industry current theory and practical training
• Develop effective working relationships with students and staff
• Monitor student progression to ensure timely completion within milestone dates
• Coordinate and deliver the training program to students
• Maintain a high level of compliance and contribute to the continuous improvement the program

What you will bring:

• Experience in training for an RTO (desired)
• Relevant Trade qualification in Automotive
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or upgrade TAE40110
• Ability to engage, inspire and support students throughout their learning
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience with eLearning and web based learning management systems (desirable)
• A high level of computer literacy

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. A current Working with Children Blue Card and National Police Check is required and can be arranged for the suitable applicant.
