About Shelford Girls' Grammar

Shelford Girls' Grammar is a leading independent Prep to Year 12 school for girls. Shelford is an Anglican school that welcomes students from a diversity of backgrounds. The keystone of Shelford's educational philosophy is our commitment to meeting the needs of every student. In order to realize this commitment, Shelford chooses to be a relatively small school, with class sizes being smaller at all levels. Here no-one is overlooked and no-one can get lost, and a strong sense of community is created when students work with others from all year levels. While a school's first purpose is the academic development of each student, at Shelford we recognise that the quality of the relationships that exist between all members of the community determines the quality of learning and the educational outcomes. Shelford is committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning and the safety and protection of children. Applicants will be subject to the relevant child protection screenings, including referee and identity checks, and are expected to familiarise themselves with the School’s Child Safety and Protection Policy, Mandatory Reporting Policy and Code of Conduct available on the School’s .
