This position is accountable for the effective delivery of administrative processes and customer services related to the delivery of vocational and pre-vocational programs to secondary school students.

This role focuses on providing support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of all Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Schools (VETDSS) initiatives delivered to secondary school students

The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Schools and Pathways VETDSS team and provides expertise to school professionals and internal Chisholm business areas.

Key accountabilities will include but is not limited to:
  • Coordinating the VETDSS application to enrolment process within required timelines to meet organisational requirements and external partnership agreements
  • Ensuring VETDSS attendance reporting compliance obligations are met and liaise with schools as required to communicate areas of concern in conjunction with program delivery areas and the Education Manager
  • Facilitating the VETDSS induction program for VETDSS students
  • Supporting teaching business areas by communicating existing VETDSS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and contractual obligations
  • Representing the Institute at external existing VETDSS cluster reference group meetings, Local Learning and Employment Network committees, career or similar events and regularly communicate actions/advice from these functions to Chisholm management
  • Establishing, maintaining and building on existing relationships and networks in the area of existing VETDSS, and other school program initiatives with Institute staff and secondary colleges

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications (Career Education desirable) and relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in the field; or a suitable combination of relevant qualifications and experience

Essential will be your sound organisational and work planning skills indicative of the ability to set priorities. Highly developed written and verbal communications skills, as well as highly developed presentation, interpersonal and public relations skills will be key to your success in the role as will your understanding of the senior secondary school system, VETDSS in particular and an understanding of the Vocational Education and Training sector.

Experience coordinating VETDSS, VCAL or VCE programs and administrative operations is desirable.
