Scope out an initial design for new educational engagement model engaging Aboriginal students and their families, using relevant data to inform the scoping phase and best practice modelling. Design a framework for presentation to key stakeholders for input and endorsement. Support the Chief Executive to negotiate and reach agreement with the Education Department and other educational institution’s where necessary. Undertake necessary research on best practice models and identify base line data on school attendance and completion rates to inform accountability for participation in the model. Lead discussion with various stakeholders to identify issues in delivering support young people who are at risk of dropping out, who may be to re-engage in schooling etc; Report on the progress of the framework’s development, issues and challenges to problem solve. Qualifications & experience • Tertiary qualification/s in Education, teaching or related discipline, or extensive experience working with local Aboriginal families • Current First Aid Certificate • Child Safe Environments and DECD Responding to Abuse and Neglect Certificate. • DHS Clearance for Working with Children/Vulnerable Persons required • Current Driver’s Licence For mor information of a full Job Description please email Rodney Short Operations@cac.asn.au Please apply in writing to Operations@cac.asn.au by COB Monday 15th February 2021
