About the Role

Evoenergy’s Operational Learning Services Team are currently seeking a Training Team Leader to join their dynamic, collaborative team.


You will have the opportunity to lead a small team responsible for the creation, design and delivery of technical training to increase the knowledge and understanding of Evoenergy’s trade workers. You will support your team to plan and manage competency development programs to ensure the business has long-term availability of required capabilities.


We are looking for a strong people person who displays leadership qualities and can work closely with senior managers and other sections of the business such as Safety and Work Practices to incorporate their functional requirements into the training area.


Day to day, you will:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the training section and provide clear guidance and instruction to achieve individual and company objectives
  • Develop material and facilitate training programs whilst ensuring our workplace and regulatory obligations are met
  • Work with the Operational Learning Services team to explore innovative training solutions to embed learning and increase engagement
  • Manage the external provision of workplace training and assessment for Evoenergy ensuring the provision of training contracts or agreements
  • Provide strategic insight into the development of a workforce strategy for employees including current and future skills analysis
  • Oversee the development of the annual training schedule for Evoenergy
  • Be accountable for the budgetary requirements of all technical training projects


What you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience of competency frameworks, Student Management Systems (SMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS), training development implementation and design.
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate a small training team.
  • Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training sector and Training Package utilisation in organisations.
  • Qualifications in adult learning or similar is desirable.
