Our client, a federal government department, responsible for research, collections and the publishing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, languages, and stories is seeking two , a key priority for the Ethics and Research Leadership team that is supporting the implementation of the new Code of Ethics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research released in October 2020 through eLearning programs and advice to the university sector.
The Ethics and Research Leadership team is seeking two highly skilled Project Managers that are specialised in content development and writing for an online learning module.
The Project Managers we are seeking will have a considerable degree of independence and must have the ability to prioritise and manage short timeframes to deliver a final product. Close engagement with key stakeholders will be required to meet the desired outcome of the project. 
Supported by the IT development team, the Project Managers must be able to:
Module Content Developer

  • Provide recommendations on learning content
  • Compile information and resources for Inclusion in the module
  • Develop learning activities and case studies for modules
  • Work with relevant university offices and staff to track and document the implementation process of the Code of Ethics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research

Module Content Writer

  • Set learning outcomes, write and review content for online module
  • Work closely with project sponsors,
  • Provide high level advice on the implementation of the AIATSIS Code of Ethics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research.
  • Develop and communicate methodologies and approaches to assist the implementation

The Ideal Candidate will have.

  • Understand Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business within the agency and the outcomes the agency is responsible for delivering
  • Have an authentic and respectful interest in, and be able to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Experience in writing and developing E-learning packages and modules.
  • Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research, research governance and or research ethics
  • High level written and communication skills to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of learning environments within university sector and commonwealth government.
  • Diploma of Training Design and Development or similar with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.

These positions will be offered to the successful candidates as an EL1 equivalent hourly rate contract paying $62.00 + 9.5% superannuation, notionally for a period of 5-6 months and will be based from Acton, Canberra. Applications strictly close Monday 15th February, 10.00am.
