Emmaus College (7-12) is a co-educational Catholic College in the heart of Rockhampton. The College offers a tailored journey designed to support students at pivotal points in their young lives. The separate Middle School and Senior School campuses provide extensive facilities and create learning environments designed to nurture and empower the students that they serve.

What we are looking for
Two Indigenous Education Liaison Officers for the following contracts:

Term-time contract (leave replacement) for 30hpw commencing immediately until 2 April 2022
Term-time contract 30hpw commencing immediately until 3 December 2021

About the role
The Indigenous Education Liaison Officer will service the educational mission of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton by providing support to all aspects of Indigenous Education. In doing so, advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students together with their families, communities, teachers and school.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate:
A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and spiritualities.
An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families and school staff to improve educational outcomes through targeted and direct academic support.

About You
We are seeking dynamic, experienced, and passionate educators for the position of Indigenous Education Liaison Officer.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills, well developed interpersonal skills and a high proficiency of computer skills.
