JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic person who can demonstrate competency involving the application of knowledge with depth in some areas, and a broad range of skills in other areas.

The desired applicant is required to be the face of the Student Administration Desk for parents, staff and students and therefore have excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a team, and sense of humour is a must. The wellbeing of our students is paramount to this role.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Student-focused person who is capable of working with youths in Years 7-12, some with special learning needs
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills are desired with the ability to respond to enquiries from staff, students, parents and the general public
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in a busy office environment
  • Recent administrative experience in a secondary school setting
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Business Applications
  • Various computer software packages deployed by Brisbane Catholic Education including eMinerva, Dynamics, ALLE, ClassCover, Daily Organiser, Web Self Service, Parent SMS & Parent-Slips
Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications and/or Certificate Training in Office Administration
  • First Aid & CPR certification required or the ability to obtain accreditation is required
Responsibilities

  • The role also includes supporting the Deputy Principal within the Daily Organiser system and Class Cover. Experience with this BCE school administration software would be advantageous

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 5 days/wk (35 hrs/wk) Monday - Friday (7.30am - 3.00pm)

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 3: $29.05 to $30.28 per hour

Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
